The movie spoken of is DIE HARD a Bruce Willis shoot-em-up. The true holiday fan-loved movie is the 50’s story of the 10 year old eye-glassed bullied kid (played by Peter Billingsly )who wanted a Red Ryder pump-action BB gun for Xmas despite being told by his parents and teachers and even Santa Claus ( at the Mall) that “you’ll shot your eye out kid!”..Now, that we’ve cleared that up that Darin McGavin “A Christmas Story” is truly the BEST Christmas movie ever. Especially when Alfie turns his rage on the town bully and his father opens the prize package marked FRAGILE which he pronounces Fra-gee-lee as though it is a European object d’ art. It turns out to be a lamp shaped by a sultry woman’s leg. A movie that is filled with nostalgia that marked the post WWII America in this Indiana heartland story. I will watch it at least twice these next few weeks.
